Long Distant Scooter Review

Thank you, readers, for wanting to know more about SoCo Scoots ventures into the hills around Sonoma Valley. We do have a good time and southern California is almost always willing to accommodate us with beautiful, spring-like weather. With that being said, at present, we look back on recent visits into wine country via scooter and moped from the inside of dry buildings as the rain seems to come down non-stop lately.

Not many are complaining as California has been in a drought for years. Recently, however, I’ve had my weekends relegated to helping a friend who owns an overhead crane service and who has taken on jobs dealing with wreckage pulled from mudslides. A dry afternoon has been promised by the area weather guy and it’s time to take the scooter out to sites around the community that have been affected by the vast amount of rainfall, and see if I can help.  Read more…

Road Trip

We love the diversity that each of our individual personalities brings to the club. Karen who wears a purple boa and rides a pink bike, Charlie who boasts raccoon tails from his handlebars, and Cynthia – the decal Queen are a few who make up our colorful group.

As a whole, we appreciate the fuel economy, small footprint, convenience and low maintenance of being a scooter owner. I’ve never heard a story from any of our members that involved calling a 24 hour towing service St Catharines ON to haul a broken-down scooter from the side of the road, – just another advantage to owning this little, versatile road warrior.  Read more…

How To Choose a Motor Scooter

All the members of SoCo Scoot have their individual preferences in equipment. It’s like all things, we want our personalities to show through our choice of scooter like our choice of scooter color or the clothes we wear. Most of the regulars who join SoCo Scoot on our weekly rides or pub crawls motor around on 50cc to 250cc bikes, but occasionally, someone will show up on a “maxiscoot” and give us a glimpse into a bit wilder personality type.

After leaving work at Tree Service Aurora Colorado I would spend a lot of time scooting around on days off which gave me a sense of freedom that a car – even a luxury car, cannot compare. How do you go about finding the scooter that fits your personality? Research is all over the web, but from 14 years of personal experience, allow me to share my thoughts.
